Mikkelsen Harbour

located on Trinity Island, was our morning landing operation on January 19th. This harbor earned its reputation as a shelter for whalers in the past, and it still bears traces of the industry in the form of bones and remnants. D'Hainaut Island, where our landing took place, is home to a population of several thousand gentoo penguins, creating a vibrant and bustling penguin colony. During our visit, we were fortunate enough to witness a Weddell seal enjoying a moment of pure relaxation.
